Blue Fabrics

Here are our gorgeous Mas d'Ouvan fabrics, both cottons and chambrays. Chambrays are still made of cotton, however they are two different coloured threads woven together before being printed. In our case, a beige and a white thread. Our fabrics are designed exclusively by Bruno Lamy, a Parisian textile artist who takes his inspiration from the fabrics found throughout France's  impressive manor houses.

This collection is inspired by former designs dating back to the period between the 17th and 19th centuries. These designs were carefully preserved in printed textile workshops, as well as in the printed textiles from India, known as "Les Indiennes". These prints can still be discovered here and there in the old chateaux, and fine mansions of our "Douce France". (A middle English term, meaning "sweet, pleasant".)
